WHAT IS RFI?

Revival Fellowship International

Revival Fellowship is called to preach and teach RESTORATION THEOLOGY to the Body of Christ, presenting "every man complete in Christ." This is being done through meetings, conferences, publications, media and Bible colleges here and abroad.

A second apostolic responsibility of RFI is in the raising up of a new generation of spiritual leaders as "spiritual sons and daughters" who will lead restoration revival as it continues to the coming of Christ. We offer a credentialing process that brings people into covenant relationships that are necessary for impartation to take place.

The Elijah anointing has been imparted to RFI and is the generational inheritance given to those in covenant connection with the movement. Those apostolic leaders with an Elijah anointing are the true spiritual fathers of today's church. By running with this vision, RFI is fulfilling the prophecy of restoration in Acts 3:19-21..."Heaven must retain Him until the restoration of all things."

CALLING AND VISION

God has promised the restoration of all things...

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins maybe blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and He shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began." (Acts 3:19-21)

We understand this scripture means that all scriptural truth (Colossians 1:9) and Gifts and Ministries of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 12:28) will be known and working in the church before Jesus returns bodily to Earth. This restoration will result in worldwide revival bringing in the harvest of the former and latter rains (James 5:7) and prepare for the coming of Jesus to reign as King of Kings throughout the Millennial government being established now in the church upon Earth (Isaiah 9:6-7).

RFI was birthed by God in 1995 as a result of the calling and preparation of Dr. John Polis, beginning with a vision given during a season of fasting and prayer in January 1983. During this time of fasting and prayer, John was shown a "sheet of rain" falling with large drops interspersed in the downpour. The Holy Spirit said, "the larger drops are the five-fold ministry gifts, and this will be a latter rain movement." With this vision in mind, John set out to see it fulfilled from 1983-1994 while serving in a mainline Pentecostal denomination. During this time, God was preparing him for an apostolic leadership role in the Body Christ; after a long season (14 years) in the desert of preparation, and with the help of devoted friends called to help, God released John to form the "new wineskin" called Revival Fellowship International which continues to grow nationally and internationally through divine connections and appointments.

Among the apostolic responsibilities given to RFI is that of ensuring that believers are schooled in all truth being restored to the church (1 Thessalonians 3:9-10). As we look at church history from 1500 until now, we see a progressive revelation of Biblical truth falling into four categories we know as Evangelical, Pentecostal, Charismatic and Kingdom Theology.

The Evangelical Movement embraces "milk of the word" doctrines (I Peter 2:1-2), those which are the first needed and the easiest to understand such as the New Birth, Water Baptism, Return of Jesus, Final Judgment, Infallibility of Scripture and consists of main line Protestant denominations.

The Pentecostal Movement went a "little deeper" in revelation by receiving the truth of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with all nine gifts in manifestation, and a doctrine of Sanctification, or "holy living". This led to the Healing Revivals of the mid 1900's.

Then came the Charismatic Movement which brought the "meat of the word" teaching (1 Corinthians 3:2). This includes such things like the Word of Faith message, Positional Truths, Davidic Worship and Prosperity.

The "present truth" (2 Peter 1:12) message called Kingdom Theology teaches Divine Government, Five Fold Ministries, Spiritual Warfare, Intercession and Spiritual Fathering, which are " strong meat" messages (Hebrews 5:11-14). What we call Restoration Theology encompasses the truth revealed in each movement, bringing all the streams together into a Mighty river of God

"There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God (church)" - Psalm 46:4

This is what the Apostle Paul ment when he told the Thessalonians "I long to see you again and supply what is lacking in your faith" (I Thessalonians 3:10). Simply put, this means to complete their understanding of God's Word.

RFI is called to preach and teach (Colossians 1:25-28) RESTORATION THEOLOGY to the Body of Christ, presenting "every man complete in Christ". This is being done through, campmeetings, conferences, publications, media, newsletters and Bible Colleges at home and abroad.

A second apostolic responsibility of RFI is in the raising up of a new generation of leaders as "spiritual sons and daughters" who will lead Restoration Revival as it continues until Jesus returns to Earth. RFI offers credentialing process that brings people into Covenant Relationships necessary for impartation to take place. The Elijah anointing has been imparted to RFI and is the generational inheritance given to those in covenant connection with the movement This end time anointing imparts Prophetic Intercession; Passion for God; Power Gifts; Paternal Anointing and Prosperity. All of these characteristics are identifiable in the life of Elijah (I Kings 17-19). Those apostolic leaders with an Elijah anointing are the true spiritual fathers in today's church.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE the scripture of the Old and New Testament to be the inspired Word of God, presenting to us the complete revelation of His will for the redemption of mankind and constituting the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.(II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21)

WE BELIEVE that God is a Trinity in unity manifested in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17)

WE BELIEVE that man is created in the image of God but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. (Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23)

WE BELIEVE that salvation is made possible through the meritorious work of Jesus Christ on the cross; that we are saved by faith thru grace. (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9)

WE BELIEVE that the true church is the body Jesus Christ, Jesus Himself being the head. It is made up of all true believers who witness a born again experience. (Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 2:19-22)

WE BELIEVE that God calls men and women to serve in the fivefold ministry and specifically endues the one called with the talents and abilities peculiar to that office. Under no circumstances should anyone be set apart to ministry unless the calling is distinct, evident and confirmed by the Presbytery. (Ephesians 4:8-13)

WE BELIEVE that water baptism is by immersion and is a direct commandment of the Lord for all believers. The ordinance is symbolic of our identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. (Mt. 29:19, Rms. 6:4, Col. 2:12)

WE BELIEVE that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God and is available to all believers. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a second work of grace received after salvation, the initial sign of which is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Jn. 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4)

WE BELIEVE that sanctification is a definite yet progressive work of grace in the life of a believer beginning with the new birth and consummating at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (II Cor. 3:18, II Peter 3:18, I Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 12:14)

WE BELIEVE in the sanctity of human life, that God determines the boundaries of life and holds in His hands the two fragile ends of human experience. He is active in the conception of life and the conclusion of life, in birth and in death. This truth imparts extraordinary value to every life, independent of gender, race, socioeconomic position, age, or health status. Those who hold to biblical creation must attach great worth to human life and will stand in its defense. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13,15; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

WE BELIEVE in the sanctity of marriage as established by the Holy Scriptures, that God created marriage, and that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24; Romans 7:2-3; 1 Corinthians 7:10-11; Ephesians 5:22-33).

WE BELIEVE in the healing of the body by Divine Power, that divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers (Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:1 ).

WE BELIEVE in the Tithe (the first ten percent of our income) that belongs to the Lord, offerings that are given willingly, and alms that are given to the poor. We believe prosperity is the will of God for every believer and always to be associated with God's purpose (Deuteronomy 8:18; 2 Corinthians 8:9; 9:6-15).

WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of the saints (1 Corinthians 15:51-52) the eternal judgment of the wicked (Hebrews 6:1-2) and the bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
